SB Library is looking for teen volunteers!

SB Library is looking for teen volunteers!

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to read this email. We know this school year is probably a tough one!

I’m hoping that you’re the right person to get this message out to teens at Laguna Blanca:

Your community needs your help! If you’re 16 or over (or will be before the end of 2020) and looking for a meaningful, long-term volunteer commitment that will look amazing on a college application, we’ve got an opportunity for you! Become an OG Readers Virtual Tutor for the Santa Barbara Public Library. We’ll equip you with an 8-hour virtual training to give you all the tutoring tools you need, then match you with a struggling reader in 1st – 4th grades so that you can spend an hour a week tutoring them via Zoom. Register for our Orientation online via the SB Library Calendar on Tuesday, Sept 8th from 4:30-5:30 to learn more!

I’ve attached a flyer for this volunteer opportunity as well.

Please know that we at the library appreciate all the extra care you’re taking to support our young people during these times!

Thanks,

Lisa
