Freshman Jack Moller represented Laguna Blanca School at this year’s annual Optimist Oratorical Contest. The contest, hosted by San Marcos High School, took place on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. After delivering his speech during Trish McHale’s public speaking class on this year’s topic for the contest, “How Doing My Best Brings Out the Best in Others,” Jack was chosen by McHale to go on to compete in the competition at San Marcos. The contest itself provides the opportunity for high school students to have their voices be heard by the community. Funded by the Optimist International Foundation—the contest has the ability to award more than $150,000 in college scholarships. Congratulations to Jack on his award winning speech and delivery.
