One of Dan Ary’s most endearing qualities is his genuine care for each of his students. He is quick to share his insightful wisdom with any student in need. I sat down with mathematics teacher Ary and here’s what he had to say:
Q: If you could share one piece of advice with your younger self, at any age, what would you say?
A: Anything you decide to do, do it with passion and joy.
Q: What’s a lesson you had to learn the hard way and how did you learn it?
A: Not putting things off until the last minute. I had to learn to stay on top of all the things going on in my life.
Q: What is one thing you want your incoming students to know to prepare them for your class?
A: I want them to make sure they have a deeper understanding of the things they would normally take for granted. In other words, don’t just assume that because something seems obvious and solves the present problem, that it in fact that solution will always be the answer to the question. Try to answer things fully.
