November 18, 2016
Theater students have been enjoying an exciting fall at Laguna! The first quarter got off to a running start with the unique Library Dances performance of The Great Gatsby, a collaborative effort between Laguna’s Theater & English Departments and the State Street Ballet. Second quarter brought Storyteller Michael Katz to Laguna’s Middle School PAF and Drama classes and Upper School Theater students have been involved in an exciting Stage Combat Workshop with special guest Matt Tavianini.
Rehearsals are in full swing for the US Production of Picnic. Laguna’s team of actors and crew members has been hard at work preparing for the show, which will light up the stage on January 19-21. “The dedication and talent of our thespian Owls is truly awe-inspiring,” says Theater Director Dana Caldwell. Matt Bray and the team have already begun construction on the stage set in Spaulding Auditorium.
