Every June, Laguna holds the annual yearbook assembly. In this assembly, middle and upper school students gather in Ruston to hear the editor-in-chief of the yearbook staff announce who the yearbook is dedicated too. This year, senior Valeria Romo announced that the senior class of 2016 decided to dedicate this year’s yearbook to Dean of Students, Shane Lopes. Lopes has been with the class of 2016 ever since they were freshman and he has impacted their lives greatly.

At the end of the assembly, the yearbook staff dispersed to each of their stations to hand out the yearbooks to all the eager students. Freshmen received their yearbooks in the freshman quad, sophomores in Meritt Patio, juniors outside of the library, and the faculty and staff inside the library.
