The Arts Fund is excited to announce our classes for the 2015 Teen Arts Mentorship program! This year we made an effort to find the most unique opportunities to work with some of Santa Barbara’s top creative professionals; classes such alternative process photography, old masters painting, and even a workshop on curating! These mentorships have helped hundreds of young artists in Santa Barbara develop their artistic talents, build their portfolios and resumes, and compete for scholarships and top art schools. Did we mention that they are completely free for the first time? If you know an aspiring teenage artist in your life, be sure to share this opportunity with them!
It has been a longtime goal of ours to extend these opportunities to students in north county, and we are proud to say that we will be offering our first mentorship in Santa Maria this spring; a public mural workshop with Professor John Hood of Allan Hancock College. Their community could not be more enthusiastic about the new mentorship opportunities for their students and we look forward to working with them to expand the program’s offerings this year and beyond.
