My name is Michelle Toussaint; I am the Director of Dining Services at Vista Del Monte. My director Laurie Small recommended that I contacted you in regards to job opportunities within our dining department, which may be appealing to some of your students. Lately we are lacking quality candidates from our traditional method of job postings on craigslist. Instead, we are now trying to reach out directly to possible candidates within the community, Laguna Blanca being one of them.
Our dining room server position is a great opportunity for students because it is entry level, and we provide a 5-day training plan where they gain the tools to work in a semi-fine dining environment and work as a team. We start servers at $9.00/hour without experience and are flexible with scheduling due to school and extracurricular activities. The part-time shift is primarily form 4:30pm-7:30pm with 25 hours or less per pay period.
