We are delighted to announce a special opportunity for your students.
The New England Center for Investigative Reporting, based at Boston University’s College of Communication, is again offering a unique Investigative Journalism Workshop this summer. This program, now in its sixth year, would be a perfect fit for your students who are interested in journalism or writing. Nearly 100 students from 23 states and six countries attended last summer’s workshop, and we are expecting even more students in 2014.
Our three, two-week workshops will begin on June 30. During each session, students participate in seminars and work alongside BU faculty and award-winning local and national journalists on investigative stories that could be published on the center’s website or in regional and national publications. Students will live on the BU campus and gain hands-on experience in investigative reporting while developing critical thinking and writing skills.
For more information about our program, visit our website and see our flyer. I encourage you to share this information with your students and their families.
Applicants who apply by January 31, 2014, will receive a $100 discount on tuition.
I hope we will see your students on campus next summer!
Sincerely,
Joe Bergantino
