My name is Kandie and I am the Marketing Manager at Film Skillet, a Santa Barbara based entertainment and networking site. www.filmskillet.com
We are looking for Interns to help us in the promotion of our 2014 Green Shorts Film Festival which will take place 24 April 2014 in Santa Barbara, CA at the historic Arlington Theater.
I would like the (non paid) internship to count toward school credit if possible but it is not required.
The job will consist of:
Watching international and domestic films relating to environmental issues. Contacting and networking with the filmmakers. Marketing the films to a global audience.
Assisting with social media, fundraising and event planning.
The experience will help students learn the process of networking for the promotion of their own work.
I will also make sure they are introduced to professionals working in the industry and given the opportunity to spend time on at least one production set.
