Hello H4O Community, Fans, Donors, and Volunteers,
H4O is beginning to take off!!
There are many exiting things to report this month from H4O. Most notably is the official launch of our youth led program: H4O Clubs. As a way to expand H4O’s global mission of providing safe and sustainable access to drinking water around the world, the new H4O Clubs empower high school and middle school students nationwide to join the cause and make a difference in their community.
“With H4O Clubs, whatever you think might work for the cause likely can. The possibilities are endless, making the movement very personal, exciting, and effective” said Katie Hoeflinger, a junior and H4O Club President at Bishop Diego High School.
To date H4O has inspired youth volunteers from schools throughout Santa Barbara and Ventura County including; San Marcos, Crane, Bishop Diego, and Oaks Christian. If you are interested in starting a school club in your area, email me at [email protected] and I will send you an H4O Club Toolkit.
In addition to our school clubs, H4O has been invited to be the key sponsor for UCSB’s Cru 5k race fundraiser on February 15th. Stay tuned for more details on how to get involved.
Finally, H4O has recently launched another international chapter in North Yorkshire, England. Woot woot!!
“I wanted to start a new chapter because It’s a really great feeling to know that by doing so little you’ve helped so much for those in need. This feeling of being a part of something that makes a difference in our world is like nothing else.” Said Izzy Daffern, H4O Chapter President at Ashville College in England.
H4O is gaining momentum and we want you to be a part of it!! Please reach out to me if you want to learn how to get involved.
