GlobalGiving.org is an online fundraising platform that helps non-profits fund-raise and provides them with opportunities to grow their donor base. In order for Aid Afghanistan for Education to become a permanent part of the Global Giving community and be able to fund raise year around, we need to raise at least $5,000 from 40 donors by the end of September. Our goal is $12,000 to support at least one more school for the month. Clearly, we need much more for all 13 schools. Although you may have already contributed (and for that we are very grateful), you can make a powerful difference by becoming a Champion Donor, if only with a small donation. No matter how small the donation, it helps us achieve the first challenge for the campaign! Here’s how:
- After you donate, whether a large or small amount, you will see a referral link in your donation receipt.
- Share that link with your friends, family, coworkers, everyone!
- If just one of those people gives to our project using that link, you become a Champion Donor!
- Ask them to share out their own referral link so they can become Champion Donors too.
The best part? If we are in the first 10 organizations to reach 25 Champion Donors, Global Giving will give us $500! You can see how quickly (virally) this can expand our reach to new donors and additional contributions.
So please act fast by making whatever sized donation is possible and then refer the campaign to a friend or several through the referral link of your donation.
If for any reason, this is not possible, please forward this email to your circles of friends, family and colleagues. You can use the forward button at the bottom of the email or your own on your email service. You can also use the social media share buttons on the email header to help spread the word.
Visit the Global Giving campaign and use the social media share buttons there, too. Even without making a monetary contribution, you can be a part of spreading this campaign, helping spread peace and stabilization, and helping change lives.
There’s more you can do even if you cannot afford to contribute:
- Talk with churches, synagogues, mosques to start projects to contribute.
- Work with schools, elementary, junior high and high school as well as college students to start projects to raise money and drive traffic to the campaign.
- Have your own home parties to share the campaign.
