Greetings from Columbia University! We’re following-up on a recent e-mail we sent regarding our upcoming event for student journalists and media advisers.
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association invites high school print and online staffs and advisers to its 32nd annual Summer Journalism Workshop, held on the historic campus of Columbia University in the City of New York from June 23-28, 2013.
Some comments from recent participants:
“I am leaving with a great deal of knowledge of how to pioneer this project at my school, how to maintain and develop the site, and all of the possibilities that an online newspaper has to offer.” Public High School Online Media Adviser
“[I am proud of] my new proficiency with InDesign. I feel confident that I will be able to go back to my school newspaper and be a leader and be able to make our paper the best it has ever been.” Private/Parochial High School Newspaper Editor/Manager
“[The dormitory arrangements were] really fun. Every dorm member brought something that I learned from them. In fact, I had more fun with them in four days than I had with others in a month.” Private/Parochial High School Newspaper Staff Member
“[I thought the evening activities were] very interesting and informative and acted as great supplements to the work we did during regular class.” Private/Parochial High School Newspaper Editor-in-Chief
