Hi all,

We need many volunteers for the downtown Earth Day Festival! I would love for all of you to promote this event and volunteering opportunity with your friends, colleagues, and students (especially Upper School)- we need about 400 volunteers over the course of four days! National Volunteer Week is April 15-21. So far, we are only about halfway with the number of volunteer sign-ups… The direct link for volunteer sign-ups is http://sbearthday.org/volunteers.

Be a part of the Community Environmental Council’s Earth Day Festival in Santa Barbara. The success of CEC’s Earth Day Festival relies on the energy and hands-on support of our friends and fellow eco-citizens.

When?

Pre-Festival Setup:
Thursday, April 18, 10am-6pm
Friday, April 19, 10am-6pm

Festival:
Saturday, April 20, 7am-7pm
Sunday, April 21, 7am-8pm
Each volunteer shift is a 3-hour commitment.
What Volunteers Do

Volunteers do everything from assisting with vendor check-in, greeting festival guests and conducting crowd counts, working in the Green Car Show area, and helping with the festival’s children’s activities. They also assist with stage management, parking, and social media. Support our ‘Zero-Waste Team’ to ensure that our Earth Day festival produces as little waste as possible.

High School Volunteers

For high school students, the Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival provides an excellent opportunity to earn required community service hours necessary for graduating.

If you need a verification letter for your community service volunteer hours please download the CEC volunteer form.

Fill out the form before you volunteer and bring it with you to Earth Day. At the end of your shift(s), we will sign your form (as long as your information is filled out) when you check out with us at the Volunteer Booth.
