Your students are invited to participate in the International Students’ Visual Arts Contest-cum-Exhibition of Hong Kong – Photography 2013. The theme of this year’s HKISAC is “My Place – My People.” Deadline for entries is May 31, 2013. Prizes include US$1,000 cash and a free trip to Hong Kong.
Students of primary and secondary schools are encouraged to enter the contest. The judging panel is a group of professional photographers, renowned artists and art educators. Winning artwork will be exhibited in Hong Kong in August 2013.
Hong Kong is a cosmopolitan city keen on developing arts and culture, and promoting creative industries. Nurturing students’ creativity and art abilities plays a significant role in school education. The Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region launched the HKISAC jointly with Po Leung Kuk (a major charitable and education organization in Hong Kong) in 2010. Previous HKISACs were so successful that thousands of students’ high-quality work was submitted from more than 30 countries, culminating in an exhibition in which the Hong Kong Grand Prize winners were invited to Hong Kong to share the joy and success of this significant international art education event.
