We have a project coming up soon at DRI that would be perfect for 20 – 30 students for about a 3 hour window any time before Feb 12. We need to pack 450 Medical Reserve Corps backpacks that will be shipped out to MRC volunteers. These packs contain the meds/first aid equipment that a reserve volunteer would need in the first 24 – 48 hours following a disaster.
The packs take about 10 minutes to pack – all the materials are collected already and it is just a matter of putting the items in the packs in a certain order so they are ready to ship and use.
A group of students who might be interested in a community service project on a day in the next three weeks should contact Trish McHale. We have to have high school students on this project because of the weight, complexity etc. of the project.
