Uncharted

Uncharted is an action movie directed by Ruben Fleischer, known for his 2018 hit movie Venom. This movie is set to be a prequel to the popular video game series, Uncharted, first released in 2007. Set to be released in theaters on February 18, 2022, Uncharted stars famed actors such as Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, and Antonio Banderas.

Tom Holland is set to play Nick Drake, who gets recruited by a treasure hunter named Victor “Sully” Sullivan. The duo set off on a quest to retrieve a five billion dollar fortune lost 500 years ago with the vicious Moncada at their tail

 

 

 

Jurassic World: Dominion

Jurassic World Dominium is the third installment in the Jurassic World series, the sequel series to Jurassic Park. It was initially set to be released in 2021, though due to COVID-19, the release date got pushed back to June 10, 2022. Actors from the previous movies such as Chris Pratt (Owen Grady), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing), and Isabella Sermon (Maisie Lockwood) are set to make a comeback in the third movie.

While we do not know much about the movie, from the trailer we can gather that it will take place after Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. In the previous movie, we saw dinosaurs of all kinds beginning to inhibit the modern world. Following this storyline, the trailer depicts a dinosaur causing destruction at a drive-in movie theater while helicopters above try to contain it.

 

 

 

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)

This new addition to the Spider-Man Miles Morales series is set to be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin Thompson. Despite the change in directors from the previous movie, the original cast is set to return with Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) is set to be released on October 7, 2022.

This is set to be the sequel to the popular movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The Oscar award-winning movie follows the main character, Miles Morales, as he grows into his role as Spider-Man while meeting a few inter-dimensional friends along the way. In the previous movie, we saw characters from the Spider-Verse get thrown into Miles’ universe, though this time around the trailer suggests the opposite will happen. This time around Miles Morales and his friends will journey into the Spider-Verse to stop threats that plague their own universes. 

 

 

Fantastic Beasts the Secrets of Dumbledore

Ever since the 2011 finale of the popular series, Harry Potter, the world had yearned for more. In 2016 fans finally got their wish as the first movie in the Fantastic Beasts series was released. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) is set in 1926 New York and follows a Magizoologist by the name of Newt Scamander as he works to recover the magic beasts that have escaped from their confinements. This movie was followed by Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) and now four years later the third movie is coming to theaters. Set to be released on April 15, 2022, this movie will welcome back previous characters such as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), and Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol). 

As Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) works to take control of the wizarding word, Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists the help of Newt Scamander and a team of witches and wizards to stop the threat looming apon the wizarding world.

 

 

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Despite being a sequel to the 2016 movie, Doctor Strange, this new film proceeds the events of Spider-Man No Way Home (2021). It is directed by Sam Raimi, who also directed Spider-Man (2002) starring Tobey Maguire. It is set to welcome back characters from the previous film, like Wong (Benidict Wong) and Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), while also featuring other characters from the Marval Cinimatic Universe, such as Wanda Maximoff (Elizibeth Olsen).

Set in the Marval cinematic Universe, the second Docter Strange movie will follow Stephan Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch as they travel through the Multiverse to fight against a mysterious new threat.
