Join the Santa Barbara Youth Council

Please let your teen participants know applications are now being accepted for The Santa Barbara Youth Council. The Youth Council is a 15-member youth advisory body appointed by the Mayor and City Council of Santa Barbara. Students can attend private, public or alternative schools or be home schooled. The term is for two years; ages 13 – 19 years. The Youth Council works very closely with all the school’s leadership students and other students. Community Service hours are also offered.
The City is also looking for a Youth Intern to serve on the Parks and Recreation Commission as a non-voting member or a student to serve on the Neighborhood Advisory Council as a voting member.
