We are excited to announce that PeerBuddies is re-launching Social Skills Groups, set to begin October 2017!

Back by popular demand, our Social Skills Group pairs children and teens with special needs with same-aged Peer Buddies who teach them essential social skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Here are the details:

• Goals are individualized for each individual with special needs
• Peer Buddy volunteers have the unique opportunity to be a mentor to individuals with special needs
• All strategies used are research-based, using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
• Program Supervised by a B.C.B.A. with over 15 years’ experience
• Ratio’s are 2:1
• Weekly group Lessons include topics such as good sportsmanship, teamwork, perspective-taking, empathy, responding to bullies, hygiene, conversation skills, reading facial expressions, and more!
• “Themes” each week: Sports, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Theater
• Enrollment Deadline: October 6th, 2017

We are also excited to announce that we are partnering with Collabreations again! They will be joining us on November 12th!

They are an amazing theater group that teaches the skills of collaboration through theater and arts while also developing healthy social behaviors, positive conflict-resolution skills, and a stronger sense of self-confidence! They help create such fun, engaging, and positive learning environments for all kids and teens.

We are so excited to be working with them again!

We are looking for Participants with special needs (ages 4-22) and Peer Buddy volunteers (ages 6-22).
