Presidential Service Awards

Presidential Service Awards

Every year Laguna Blanca recognizes its students who have excelled in Community Service over the past 12 months in the annual Presidential Service Awards sssembly.

This year was the 14th Presidential Service Awards assembly, and it started off by inducting two foreign students, Rose Houglet and Cindy Shan into Humanitas, Laguna Blanca’s Service Honor Society.

The assembly went on to honor all of Laguna’s student who earned a Presidential Service Award. 39 students were recognized for different amounts of community service hours. Students 15 and under must complete 50 hours for a bronze award, 75 hours for a silver award and 100 hours for a gold award. Once a student turns 16, however, the hours required increase. They must complete 100 hours for a bronze, 175 for silver and 250 hours for a gold award. A detailed list of where students volunteered will be available next week in Laguna Links.
