Pizza is probably the best thing ever invented. You can pretty much put anything you want on it, and it still tastes like (what I assume) heaven tastes like. My personal favorite — pepperoni and chorizo with extra cheese. Try it sometime. The only bad thing about pizza — it’s a lunch/dinner food. I mean, you could eat it for breakfast (and I do), but then you would have to deal with your mother’s yelling at you about how pizza is not healthy enough for breakfast. She should just be happy you’re eating breakfast at all, right?
Anyhow, the point is, pizza isn’t really a ‘breakfast’ food. So let’s make it one. For more information about this recipe, visit http://allrecipes.com/recipe/20697/breakfast-pizza-i/
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 1 package of refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup frozen hash brown potatoes (thawed)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 5 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside. Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- Brown sausage and drain. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles. Place in an ungreased 12-inch pizza pan with points toward the center. Press together to form a crust. The bottom of the crust should be sealed and the outside edge should be slightly raised. Spoon sausage over crust. Sprinkle with hash browns and top with cheddar cheese.
- Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over crust. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
- Bake in preheated oven until eggs are set, about 25 to 30 minutes.
