On Saturday night at the packed Merovick Gymnasium, the Laguna Blanca Girls Volleyball Team advanced to the Semifinals of the CIF-SS Playoffs after sweeping #3 seed Bellarmine-Jefferson High School in 3 (25-15, 25-18, 25-12).
Senior Co-Captain Bella Taron carried the defensive effort, posting team-high 20 digs. On the offensive side, Bella added 4 kills and 1 ace.
Junior Middle-Hitter Grace Woolf headed the offense with team-high 10 kills, along with a block on defense. Sophomore Hannah White and Senior Jessie Dusebout followed close behind Grace; Hannah with 7 kills and Jessie with 6. Hannah also served up 4 aces for the Owls.
The Owls seemed to play flawlessly on Saturday night in every aspect of the game. Whether it was passing, hitting, blocking, setting, or serving, everything appeared to go in the Owls’ favor.
Laguna Blanca (15-6, 8-1) will host Rolling Hills Prep for the Semifinals of the CIF-SS Playoffs at Merovick Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
