Call for Artist Submissions THE HOPE ART PROJECT

Call+for+Artist+Submissions+THE+HOPE+ART+PROJECT

CASA seeks donations of Art with the theme of HOPE from local artists – professionals, volunteers, children – to be donated to the Juvenile court to fill the court with HOPE to support our youth and their families. Artists can work with their choice of medium, and CASA of Santa Barbara County will supply the canvas.
Dear CASA Supporter,
When you think of HOPE – what comes to mind?
I’m often asked – How do you do this for so many years? I understand why people may wonder. After all, we do see some of the saddest stories and the worst examples of humanity. But I can tell you, after 15 years working with CASA, I also see HOPE every day.
I see it in the resilience of the children we serve, and I see it in the courage of families working to overcome tremendous challenges. I see it in the faces of more than 300 volunteers, who give their time to CASA because they believe that they can help to make life safer for a child. I see HOPE from our donors who invest in our unique “business model” of engaging community volunteers to advocate for children.
CASA is launching a HOPE project, and I hope that you will engage in the way that makes the most sense to you. If you are an artist (or know one) I invite you to contribute to the HOPE art project. In early January, we will be inviting you to our Light of Hope community event, and I hope to see you there. If you are thinking of volunteering with CASA, please consider getting started today – many children are waiting.
“The world needs less heat and more light. It needs less of the heat of anger, revenge, retaliation, and more of the light of ideas, faith, courage, aspiration, joy, love and hope.” —Wilfred Peterson.
With HOPE for the future and appreciation of your support,
Kim Colby Davis
