Like many of you, me, my wife, and my teams have spent the last week filled with some uncertainty, sadness, and at times, fear. But as we talked and listened to each other, we knew we needed to offer more.

We’re all in this together.
We need each other now more than ever.
And we have to work together to find solutions to the problems we now face.

I want you to think about all the families that are dependent upon schools and other programs to feed their children; the kids who are confined to live in a home in which they don’t feel safe or loved; and the elderly and vulnerable who can’t safely go out in public.

We need to do this for them, for ourselves, and for our families. We need to come together as a community and use our resources to cultivate what that looks like now.

We as a society have to choose to not panic, to not let fear win, to not become bitter, and to never focus on blame. We must learn how to physically distance ourselves from one another (for now), but stay close to each other in our intentions, our relationships, and our shared time.

Instead, we must choose to focus on how we will help others and provide hope in the face of uncertainty.

Let’s choose to focus this time on how we will become better on the other side and how we will rebuild together.

Let’s choose to be #RootedInLove.
