How to Make an Owl Pillow

How+to+Make+an+Owl+Pillow

Wishing for something to do? Pinterest has the best do-it-yourself projects. If you are interested in a flu1ffy friend, I recently came across a homemade stuffed Owl. Let’s get started with some school spirit bec
ause Laguna Blanca’s mascot is coincidentally an owl.

First, let’s gather the materials: felt fabric, a hot glue gun, string, a needle, scissors, and stuffing. You can freehand your outline or use the outline linked below to prepare your shapes of your owl on the felt.

Secondly, you will cut out the traced line of the body one for the front and one for the back. Then, cut two small circles and one big circle for the eyes; make sure they two are in different colors because you will eventually glue the little circles to the big ones.

For the last step of cutting we need the last few details, which are the feet, feathers, and the beak that are also made out of felt.

Now, it is time to sew the big circles side by side to the front of the owl’s head below the ears.

Then, glue the smaller circles to the sewed big circles.

Thirdly, grab hold of your glue gun to place the nose under the eyes. Along with the glueing of the nose, you can stitch around it for decoration. Add the wavy felted cut-outs that look like feathers an inch below the nose with glue as well as the main feathers on each side. You can sew them for security for a longer lasting stuffed owl.

Next, sew the owls’ feet and the back of the owl to the front. The last step to your fluffy friend is the cotton stuffing, so fill your bowl up with stuffing and school spirit.

This is a pillow, a mascot, and a stuffed friend, all made from a do-it-yourself project on Pinterest.
