Infant/Child CPR & Relief of Choking Awareness Course Our INCH (Infant & Child) class offers instruction in the techniques for both infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to relieve choking in an infant and child.

This class uses the American Heart Association’s Family & Friends guidelines and is recommended for new parents, grandparents and other caregivers of newborns through school-aged children who do not require certification for employment. Participants will receive a course participation card and there is no exam. This is an awareness training and does NOT result in a certification.

Being a responsible sitter means being prepared. It’s very unlikely that you’ll face an emergency. But knowing you’re capable of handling problems allows you to relax and focus on the kids.
So before the parents leave, be sure you know these three things:
Babysitting Safety Training
A good babysitter should know basic first aid techniques, like the relief of choking, how to stop bleeding, and how to administer first aid to areas of swelling, burns and other common injuries. Every babysitter should be Trained in CPR for children and babies.

Babysitting 101 ™ program is for potential babysitters and parents considering hiring a babysitter. Babysitting 101 ™ program provides training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. Designed for people ages 11* and older, their parents, and parents looking to hire a babysitter, this program can prepare children to interview for a babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and activities, prevent accidents, perform first aid, and begin babysitting safely and competently. Participants will receive a course participation card and forms booklet Infant & Child CPR/AED Sudden cardiac arrest & early defibrillation, Basic CPR Skills for child & infant, Rescue breaths, emergency action steps, AED skills, child, infant choking. This is an awareness training.
